This is Whiskey's new tag. Well... for now anyway until he 'finds out' what is written there and tears it apart or looses it accidentally :-) He has to wear it due to his weight gain (I guess it runs in the family - both Anna and I should be wearing similar tags :-) ). He is a big cat, right, but now he weighs 7.1kg! When Anna was away looking after Baba in America her friend Milenco and her neighbour were jointly taking care of Whiskey. One day he came back home limping, so Milenco took him to a vet. The vet discovered a small cut on Whiskey's paw pad which was taken care of and is healing well. The real issue is Whiskey's weigh. He gained 600g since his last vaccination and believe me, that's a lot for a cat. The vet said that if Whiskey doesn't loose weight she will need to report his obesity to animal protection team. Both Milenco and Anna were terrified to hear the news (me not so much; as you already know I don't like Whiskey shedding hair all over Anna's house and scratching walls and furniture; the true however is that I would be very sad to see him taken away as Anna would have been heartbroken; she loves that cat). Milenco put Whiskey on a diet straight away cutting down his daily portion into half. The problem however is not what Whiskey eats at home, but also what he steals from other cats in the neighburhood. They all dine in each other houses, but Whiskey is a very greedy cat, so he goes around a lot and steals food. Anna already talked to her neighbours asking them not to feed Whiskey, but the creature is very crafty and can be very sweet when begging for food. She also bought him a harness with a lead and intends to take him for walks, so he has some exercise. Well, we see how it goes...
