regardless of our age, background, nationality, culture, wealth, etc. many of us believe that good deeds will always be somehow rewarded.
This cultural idea is promoted from the childhood by the belief that every year the children who have been good and have done good deeds all the year will receive a present, and those who have not been good will not.
These presents are to be delivered by an old man or woman who is known by different names in different parts of the world:
Mikolaj in Poland,
Santa Claus in England,
Amoo Norooz in Iran,
Befana in Italy,
Ded Moroz in Russia,
Szent Mikulas in Hungary,
Papa Noel in France,
Pappa Jul in Sweden
Chile is Viejito in Chile
Pascuero in Chile
Colacho in Costa Rica.
The presents are generally being delivered before or after a major annual festival such as Christmas or New Year.
I wonder if you believe in Santa?
Wishing you an enjoyable and happy time during this festive season.
