Yesterday I went to visit Peace Festival in Leamington Spa. This event takes place every year in the Pump Room Gardens. It was actually its 35th year. The weather was really nice and sunny and the place was packed with people. I like the freedom, variety and diversity of this festival. All sorts of people from different backgrounds, different cultures, ages, colours, religions all gathered together in peace to enjoy the day, live music, various foods, talks, workshops and activities. There were also many stands selling unusual clothes, jewellery, hand made goods, exotic foods and things that you don't usually find in the high street shops. I really like a very relaxed atmosphere there and the fact that this is a family event and can be enjoyed by virtually everyone regardless of their age and believes. The Festival exists to promote an understanding of international peace in all its aspects, including environmental harmony and living in co-operation with others.
