Dear Atria, As you surely know Nowruz is approaching soon, everyone is preparing their Haft Seen and getting ready to celebrate Persian New Year. Traditionally Zoroastrians set up a standard "sesh" tray – generally a silver tray, with a container of rose water, a container with betel nut, raw rice, raw sugar, flowers, a picture of Zarathustra and either a floating wick in a glass filled with water topped with oil for fuel, or an 'afargania', a silver urn with a small fire nourished by sandalwood and other fragrant resins. Baba is preparing his own version of Haft Seen and I will post a picture for you when it is ready. For now I just wanted to share with you some Nowruz Google Doodles. I like the idea of Google Doodle and it is nice that Google makes people all over the world aware of our Persian Festive season. What do you think dear Atria? |
