Today for a very first time since year 2005 I received a letter from your Mum telling me about you.
I took a photo of the letter, so you, your Grandparents and other family members can see it as well.
Your Mum has written: 'Atria is fine and she is doing very well and growing very healthy.'
I am so happy to hear this wonderful news :-) I thought you will be doing very well and I've heard through different people that you are beautiful and smart, but obviously I didn't know anything for sure. It is such a blessing to have a good health and I am very grateful that you are blessed that way. I know that this may sound like cliché, but really, believe me – health is one of the most important treasures in our life, so please do always take good care of yourself, be careful, considerate and don’t ignore even smallest health issues. We often take our health for granted and don’t realize how valuable it is until we loose it. I know it, because I’ve experienced it and I would like you to learn from my experience and look after yourself and your health. The whole life is in front of you and with good health, open mind and kind heart you can achieve anything.
You cannot possibly understand (not until you become a parent one day) how happy I am to know that you are a happy girl. Oh, I so much would like to see you smiling, laughing, and having sparks of joy in your eyes! I don’t know how you look like now, but I am imagining you being happy and excited about something and I smile to myself (I am smiling right now :-) ) – what a wonderful view :-) There are so many reasons in life to be happy and I am glad you can see them. Being able to learn quickly opens every door for you. You have the capacity for anything. You are a marvel. And you know what – I was very good in Math too! I feel so proud now thinking you have taken after me :-)
Your Mum has written: ‘Her spelling is not as good, but she is doing well enough.’
Don’t worry about is too much my dear Atria. I believe it will be only better and better with time, especially as you can learn quickly. My spelling never was very good and although still is far from perfect, it has improved greatly with writing, reading and constantly being corrected. We learn by doing, so the best way to become better in something is to practice. And the practice may be just reading your favourite book, browsing Internet or writing a letter to a friend – it doesn’t have to be unpleasant.
Your Mum has written: ‘She is not very sporty girl, but she is active enough.’
I thought you might not be a very sporty person. You don’t have to be sporty. As long as your are healthy, happy and active enough you do not need to become a rugby player :-) It doesn’t mean that if you were not active enough you needed to become a rugby player ;-) And it doesn’t mean that if you want to become a rugby player you can’t – everything is possible if you want it and work on it hard enough ;-) – that was just a digression for clarification :-) I am smiling all the time today :-) – that was a digression too. As I remember you from six years ago I think of you as a very creative and artistically talented person, not necessary sporty person. You were always full of ideas, were able to occupy yourself with some sort of creation of yours and you had a very good taste. I know that you use to like drawing very much. Do you still like it? If you do like it enjoy, believe in your talent and pursue your passion. People who are passionate about what they do, about their work, are usually very successful. I even don’t know if you still like drawing, but whatever your passion is, whatever your dream is – don’t give up on it. Decide what you want. Imagine it vividly and work towards it. There are no impossible dreams.

I like cycling too and I cycle a lot – my bike is my means of transport. I have lots of pain in my knees when I cycle, but I keep doing it in spite of the pain, as I don’t want to give up small joys of life because of physical pain and I want to learn to overcome this pain. I think cycling is a good exercise for a body and for the soul. I usually avoid busy roads and if possible I choose canal routs. This way I can enjoy fresh air and I can be closer to the nature admiring nice surroundings and feeling peace. I also used to like climbing when I was young and fit like you and I do like snow. Here is a picture of me from 2 years ago when we had a lot of snow here. Do you remember? When I was young I used to have snow fights with my schoolmates, we would make a snowman and slide down the hill on an empty carry bag – lost of fun. Now what I like most about snow is its lightness, cleanness, and softness. The world covered with snow looks so peaceful, quiet, calm and pure, it’s like covered with feather, which softens everything, covers sorrows and problems, and brings peace of heart. I guess you like snow too?
Your Mum has written: ‘She has good sense of humour and she is really like practical joke.’
I think your Mum meant that you like practical jokes. I also have a good sense of humour and many people think that I am a very jolly person. And you know what… even if I don’t feel joyful I always try to make other people smile. I start conversations with the strangers in the shop, make jokes with them and most of the people enjoy that, they enter conversation with me, and we both make each other smile. Simple smile or joke can ‘break an ice’ between people and help start a conversation or even friendship. When you smile at people they will smile back at you and many will smile at another person as well. And if this smile goes like a chain reaction, you will see many people smiling. And everything starts just from one smile :-) Innocent practical jokes can also bring joy and are funny. People who invent them are very creative individuals. I would like to see some of your practical jokes and tricks some day. I am sure we would have a lot of fun together, as we both are people with a good sense of humour :-) I want to believe your sense of humour comes from me…
I am very happy to know you are happy, bright, joyful and healthy and I look forward to meeting you :-) With all my love – Your Dad Farshid
