I read recently Winnie the Pooh by A. A. Milne and I think it is a very nice book about friendship, the power of love and the lessons learned between friends. Winnie the Pooh is a Bear, he has lots of friends in the Hundred Acre Woods where he lives. Some of his friends are Tigger, Kanga, Eeyore, Piglet, Owl, Rabbit, and Gopher. They spent many fun days in the woods and its surroundings; living out one adventurous and sometimes hilarious event after another.
There are many valuable points about friendship you can take from this book. It is a children book, but I think good to read for everyone. Sometimes adults forget what the friendship is about.
I think friendship, like love is about acceptance and care. You don’t choose your friends because of the way they look or how rich they are. Life can change these things very easily, but the heart, the kindness, goodness inside, feelings, the way your friend cares for you and how they make you feel cannot be change that easy. You know, Anna is my best friend and over past year she has changed a lot, she became very sad, depressed and unhappy because of many problems she has to face in life. She is very nervous; she even changed physically – got lots of grey hair, developed eating disorder and lost a shine in her eyes. But she is still the same Anna inside, temporary overtaken by stress, scarred and unhappy, but with the same beautiful soul and heart, kindness, care and all these things that made her my best friend. So I hold on here and try to encourage her to get back to life.

Friendship is about compassion and encouragement. Be compassionate when your friends are feeling down and do encourage them to cheer up. Like Winnie the Pooh and his friends in the book - they have their adventures, challenges and they always find ways to help each other; to overcome fears, frustration or every day problems. Being friends means staying close through ups and downs. We all go through fun times and not so fun times and we know who our true friends are when we are in trouble. Real friends will stand by you in hard times, try their best to help you, will listen to you and will put your good over their own needs. People who pretend to be you friends can use you to achieve their own goals.
Friendship is about honesty – it’s no good to tell your friends that they are perfect. Being honest with them and showing those things they can change to become better allows them to improve and grow better and stronger. Friendship is about appreciating each others point of view; even when we disagree.
Friendship is about trust, about creating fond memories and a shared history together.
It is wonderful to have at least one real friend.
I hope you have friends who care for you, offer you advice, stay by your side at good and bad times, who appreciate you for who you are and who make you feel special.
I hope one day we become a very good friends. I am always here waiting for you as long as I live.
