Have you been there? I haven’t but it seems to be a very beautiful place.
When Anna was 9-10 years old, more or less your age, she read all seven books describing Anne‘s of Green Gables life. She enjoyed them greatly at that time and she use to read them again later in life when she felt low or just needed to relax. I didn’t read the book (I am not a very good reader) but Anna showed me a movie made on the base of the books and I really enjoyed it. I think this story is timeless and I am sure you would like it very much.
Everything begins when Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert of Green Gables send for a boy orphan to help them out at the farm and by mistake Anne Shirley, an 11 year old girl is sent from the orphanage. At the beginning Marilla wants to send Anne back, but fortunately Anne’s sunny nature and quirky imagination quickly wins over her reluctant foster parents.
What I like most about this story is Anne’s cheerful spirit, joy of life, kindness and a desire to change the world for better. She is an inspirational character and in the same time the story is funny, full of adventures and surprises.
I've copied here for you a picture of Anne and I hope you will enjoy the story as much as I did my dearest Atria.
I hope you have as much imagination as Anne does and your life is happy, beautiful and full of adventures.
Always with love - your dad Farshid :-)
